Kathleen Erin Walsh, simply known as Kate Walsh, is an actress and businesswoman. She is best known for her various roles in television shows, including Dr. Addison Montgomery on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy and Olivia Baker on Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why.

Walsh was born on October 13, 1967, in San Jose, California, U.S. to Joseph P. Walsh and Angela C. Bochetto. Her father is Irish while her mother is Italian. She has two brothers, Séan Walsh and Joseph “Joe” Walsh, who are both filmmakers.

The 52-year-old spent her early years partly in San Jose, California, and Tucson, Arizona. Katy attended Catalina High school in Tucson, Arizona. She then studied acting at the University of Arizona, where she got involved in regional theater before dropping out.
