Ashnikko was born Ashton Nicole Casey on 19th Feb 1996, in Oak Ridge, North Carolina. She spent the majority of her early days in the city of Greensboro with her parents.

Casey developed a strong passion for music from her early teens, especially in rap music listening to Bucky Done Gu and Arular by M.I.A. on her iPod Nano. 

Her family later moved to Estonia due to her father’s studies. A year after, they again relocated to Riga, Latvia. She attended a Latvian public high school and was also only Ameican in the county to attend the school.

Ashnikko came with her debut single ‘Krokodil’ in July 2016 and released her first EP, Sass Pancakes in the following year. 

The artist gained wide attention after releasing the viral song titled ‘Stupid’ with Yung Baby Tate, an American singer, and rapper. The single especially became popular on the video-sharing platform TikTok and has been used in more than 400k videos on the app since Sep 2019.
